Originally released in early 1999 as a 12 song CD with it's original title; "A Man in a Boat... Possibly Fishing". Only about 20 copies of the album were sold before the band decided to end sales in order to re-package and give the album a proper release.

In the following months the album was re-mastered, new tracks were added and the album finally saw a release in August of 1999 sprinkled with some tracks from the Evil Engine's first cassette release.

The Evil Trax is a compilation of almost the entire Evil Engine catalog.
